Frequently Asked Questions
Children are always full of questions, but sometimes our parents have a few too.
Q: What are your hours of operation?
A: We are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm.
Office staff is available from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Q: I am not sure what to send for snack.
Why must I bring it in a ziplock bag?
A: Each day we have a morning and afternoon snack that is sent from
home. It is recommended that each child be sent a drink (juice
box, child's size water bottle, etc.) and a single portion of a
finger food that does not need to be refrigerated or heated.
Please be sure that the drink is completely spill-proof.
Snacks must be sent in a ziplock bag. We cannot accept snacks
in grocery store bags (Wal-Mart, Publix, etc) due to the risk of
suffocation.
Q: When is tuition due?
A: Tuition is due on Friday for the following week. Late
payments are accepted on Monday, but there is a late fee that is
assessed for payments made on Tuesday or later.
Q: Is VPK really free? What is the
difference between VPK and VPK wrap care?
A: Yes, VPK is free for all four year olds born on or before
September 1 of the current school year. To be enrolled in VPK,
parents must fill out a VPK registration form and submit proof of
the child's age to the Polk Early
Learning Collation. VPK is a three hour program offered on
public school days only. VPK wrap care is extended care for
VPK students. It is from 6:30 am to 8:30 am before VPK; and
from 11:30 am to 6:00 pm after VPK. This service used by many
working parents and has a reduced rate of $65 per week.
