Kindergarten

Kindergarten is an important time of growth, transition, and change.  Not quite preschoolers, and not quite “big kids”, kindergarteners need special attention in a program designed just for them.  Since we understand that young, unsure kindergarteners of require extra love, our youngest Kids’ Club members stay at our preschool site where they receive tutoring and homework help along with age-appropriate activities.  By winter break, kindergarteners are bigger, wiser, and more confident; it’s a perfect time to “move up” with the big kids.
Our kindergarten tutors are familiar with the Sunshine State Standards for kindergarten in language arts, math, writing, science, and social studies, and
receive ongoing training.  Kindergarteners in Polk County are expected to know all the letters and sounds of the alphabet and at least twenty-five basic sight words to pass, and the standards for math and writing are rigorous as well.  Our tutors help students meet and exceed these requirements through fun games and activities that make kindergarteners forget that they’re learning.
Kindergarten isn’t what it used to be – gone are the old days of singing, painting, napping, and playing.  Your little one needs all the support and encouragement you can provide to learn the many things he/she needs to succeed – Cypress Kids Club can help!

The Kids Club unique curriculum offers both extra help for students that are struggling and enrichment for students who are already excelling.  Through unique games, activities, and field trips, learning becomes and adventure rather than a chore.
