Infants

Since children begin learning as soon as they’re born, we provide a stimulating environment that encourages babies to develop in an atmosphere where communication skills are emphasized.  Music, guided play, and games like pat-a-cake and peek-a-boo encourage development in these important months.  The individual needs of each child are met in regards to feeding, sleeping, or other activities.  The infant room is divided into separate areas for playing, eating, diapering, and sleeping. We make every attempt to make the transition each day from home to school as smooth as possible.  The caregivers’ attention to your child continues throughout the day as they encourage a positive atmosphere for your infant.  At the end of each day you receive a written report that tracks your baby’s daily experience. Mature caregivers spend many hours of personal loving care with infants.  Their responsive, gentle ways assure your baby that they are truly special.  Even though they don’t readily understand the words and pictures of a book, infants enjoy looking at books and hearing the words while being cuddled in the arms of a loving caregiver.  They experience the magic and wonder of books that will full develop into appreciation as they mature.  Within this setting infants will grow to their greatest potential.
